Wolfgang Bartelme, who brought you the “Fresh” theme, redesigned his site a couple days ago. This again suggests that we now have a chance to use his last design. So here is his “dark” theme for WordPress.
Tested with Firefox 2 and Safari, dropped support for IE6. Featured:

As you can see, I’ve put on a new theme. This theme was originally designed by an Austrian genius whose name is Wolfgang Bartelme. Too many eyeballs had been attracted while Bartelme was using it on his own site.
